I adore my job, it’s unlike any other job in the world.
As winner of a presenter of the year accolade at the prestigious Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards, Knoxy is making her name as one of radio's biggest hits. The up-beat twenty-something grew up listening to MFR in Inverness and it was there she started out in the industry before moving to Clyde 1. "I adore my job, it's unlike any other job in the world. In a way you're constantly working, always thinking of ideas for the show, what music you will play and attending events. It's the kind of job that becomes your life but in the best way possible. "I love the relationship that you develop with your listeners. It still astounds me that people want to listen to me and get in touch about things I'm talking about - it's a great feeling." And one of the things Knoxy is always keen to share with her listeners is her love of fashion. "Glasgow is a very fashionable, trendy city and you see that everywhere, from the buildings to the people. The shopping is brilliant too.
"And when it comes to shopping the most important thing is handbags ...... I couldn't live without my handbags. I have quite a collection now. I love designer handbags and don't mind saving and spending a bit more money on them. I think a good handbag can make an outfit, even if the outfit is cheap as chips!
Vivacious Knoxy's favourite celeb is also quite fond of the odd designer handbag or two.
"I'm quite celebrity obsessed and I really admire Victoria Beckham - cue the groans! But she's a very successful mother, wife and business woman. Her dress sense is flawless and her husband is beautiful.
"And if I had her wardrobe and collection of shoes and bags I would be one very happy lady!"
