| Helensburgh and West Dunbartonshire Ramblers’ Weekend Walk Depart 9.30am (Hillwalking) Location: Meet at Helensburgh Pier in front of the swimming pool. Today the Ramblers are climbing Beinn Bhreac. The 8km route, which starts at Cashel Information Centre, is on hill road and forestry track to 300m and then on trackless and boggy moor to the cairn. Although the terrain may be difficult to navigate, it is worth the effort as there are excellent views all round from the summit of the Beinn, 577m. The walk will take 5 hours. | Helensburgh and West Dunbartonshire Ramblers’ Weekend Walk Depart 9.30am (Hillwalking) Location: Meet at Helensburgh Pier in front of the swimming pool. The ascent of Ben A’an, 462m, is our group's contribution to the Festival of Winter Walks. By following a path which climbs steeply up, first through woods and then on open hillside, the summit of the Ben is reached. Then the route descends to the tarmac track at the side of Loch Katrine and from the pier returns along the minor road to the start point at Loch Achray.
