Strathclyde Police is giving pensioners in Maryhill the power to tackle bogus and cold callers. Officers from Maryhill Police Office will be arming elderly members of the community with information to keep them safe both in and out of doors when they hold their ‘Safer Seniors Forum’.
Residents will be able to drop in to the Community Central Halls to receive advice, information and informal talks on personal safety from various organisations.
Officers will also man a stall on the day, distributing free personal attack alarms and other items to help improve safety and security.
